Session 1 – Ashtanga Yoga Is Waking Up (2h)
Friday, 27 march 2020 (17h30-19h30)
It is so important to remember that yoga is a tool for waking up to the present moment. In this workshop we will look at the framework to developing a physical practice that does just that, with breath dynamics, awareness and movement/anatomy theory determining how we meet each breath and vinyasa in every moment of the practice.
Session 2 – Understanding Patterns (2h30)
Saturday, 28 march 2020 (14h00-16h30)
The ongoing evolution of the body and breath through the ashtanga yoga system is seeing that the practice itself evolves as we practice. In this 2.5 hr workshop we will see the deepening patterns that link the ashtanga system together, unveiling how the different postures allow for the deeper postures to unfold. We will look at the patterns that connect all the postures in the primary series and the first half of the intermediate together and unpack the deep connections they all have. This workshop will include partner work and some adjustment theory.
This workshop will be in English.
